Every rule maps to a provision of Directive (EU) 2024/825, which amends the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive and applies from 27 September 2026. Where Germany or France has its own provision — the German UWG amendment (BGBl. 2026 I Nr. 43) or the French environment and consumer codes — the finding cites that too. Claims backed by a recognised certification — the EU Ecolabel or an ISO 14024 type I scheme such as Blauer Engel or Nordic Swan — are treated as “verify”, not “remove”.
